This page explains what the Pathok app collects, why, how long it is kept and how you can delete it. Reading books needs no account or sign-in. We do not sell anyone’s data, and the app shows no ads.

Favourite books, recently read books, where you stopped reading, downloaded books, theme and reader settings are stored on your phone only. They are not sent to our server and are removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
When you send feedback we keep your name, email address, phone number (optional) and your message. We use them only to reply to you and to improve the app; they are not shown to anyone else. To have your feedback deleted, email us at the address below.
The chat needs no account. When you send your first message, the app creates a random ID that is not linked to your name, phone number or Google account. That ID is how your chat is recognised. We keep:
Only the Pathok team sees the messages. To prevent spam, each phone can send a limited number of messages in a given time, and we may stop a chat from sending new messages if it is misused. Never send passwords or bank or card details in the chat.
Choosing “চ্যাট মুছে ফেলুন” (Delete chat) from the chat’s menu deletes all its messages from our server. If a chat has been stopped from sending, its messages are deleted but the random ID is kept so the stop stays in place. Uninstalling the app removes the ID from your phone and the old chat can no longer be opened in the app; to delete it then, email us.
These services are operated by Google and use data under Google’s Privacy Policy.
Book lists, covers and book files come from our server, connected through Cloudflare. Each request leaves your IP address and the time in ordinary server logs, used only for security, preventing abuse and fixing problems. All traffic between the app and the server is encrypted with HTTPS.
The app only shows our bKash number; money is sent from your own bKash app. The app collects no transaction or payment data. If you send money, we see only what bKash shows a recipient (such as the sender’s number and the amount).
You can delete your chat from inside the app. To delete feedback or any other data, email us at the address below; if you mean a chat message, tell us and we will find and delete it. We will delete the data and confirm within 30 days of your request.
Pathok offers many kinds of literature, including classics, some of which is suited to adults. The app is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
When this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with its date.

পাঠক অ্যাপ কোন তথ্য সংগ্রহ করে, কেন করে, কতদিন রাখে এবং কীভাবে মুছে ফেলা যায়, তা এই পাতায় লেখা আছে। বই পড়তে কোনো অ্যাকাউন্ট বা সাইন ইন লাগে না। আমরা কারও তথ্য বিক্রি করি না এবং অ্যাপে কোনো বিজ্ঞাপন নেই।
প্রিয় বই, সম্প্রতি পড়া বই, কোথায় পড়া থেমেছে, ডাউনলোড করা বই, থিম ও পড়ার সেটিংস আপনার ফোনেই রাখা হয়। এগুলো আমাদের সার্ভারে পাঠানো হয় না। অ্যাপ আনইনস্টল করলে বা অ্যাপের ডেটা মুছলে এগুলো মুছে যায়।
মতামত পাঠালে আমরা রাখি আপনার নাম, ইমেইল ঠিকানা, আপনি চাইলে দেওয়া মোবাইল নম্বর এবং আপনার লেখা বার্তা। এগুলো শুধু উত্তর দেওয়া ও অ্যাপ উন্নত করার কাজে ব্যবহার হয় এবং কাউকে দেখানো হয় না। মতামত মুছে ফেলতে চাইলে নিচের ইমেইলে লিখুন।
চ্যাট করতে অ্যাকাউন্ট লাগে না। প্রথম বার্তা পাঠানোর সময় অ্যাপ একটি এলোমেলো আইডি তৈরি করে, যা আপনার নাম, ফোন নম্বর বা Google অ্যাকাউন্টের সঙ্গে যুক্ত নয়। এই আইডি দিয়েই আপনার চ্যাট চেনা হয়। আমরা রাখি:
বার্তা শুধু পাঠক টিম দেখে। স্প্যাম ঠেকাতে একটি ফোন থেকে নির্দিষ্ট সময়ে কতগুলো বার্তা পাঠানো যাবে তার সীমা আছে, এবং নিয়ম ভাঙলে আমরা কোনো চ্যাটে নতুন বার্তা পাঠানো বন্ধ করতে পারি। চ্যাটে পাসওয়ার্ড, ব্যাংক বা কার্ডের তথ্য কখনো পাঠাবেন না।
চ্যাটের উপরের মেনু থেকে “চ্যাট মুছে ফেলুন” বেছে নিলে সব বার্তা আমাদের সার্ভার থেকে মুছে যায়। কোনো চ্যাটে বার্তা পাঠানো বন্ধ থাকলে বার্তাগুলো মুছে যায়, তবে বন্ধ রাখার জন্য শুধু ফোনের আইডিটি থেকে যায়। অ্যাপ আনইনস্টল করলে আইডিটি ফোন থেকে মুছে যায় এবং পুরনো চ্যাট আর অ্যাপে খোলা যায় না; তখন চ্যাট মুছতে নিচের ইমেইলে লিখুন।
এই সেবাগুলো Google পরিচালনা করে এবং Google-এর নিজস্ব গোপনীয়তা নীতি মেনে তথ্য ব্যবহার করে।
বইয়ের তালিকা, প্রচ্ছদ ও বইয়ের ফাইল আমাদের সার্ভার থেকে আসে, যা Cloudflare-এর মাধ্যমে সংযুক্ত। প্রতিটি অনুরোধে আপনার IP ঠিকানা ও অনুরোধের সময় সার্ভারের সাধারণ লগে থাকে; এগুলো শুধু নিরাপত্তা, অপব্যবহার ঠেকানো ও সমস্যা খোঁজার কাজে ব্যবহার হয়। অ্যাপ ও সার্ভারের সব যোগাযোগ HTTPS দিয়ে এনক্রিপ্ট করা থাকে।
অ্যাপে শুধু আমাদের বিকাশ নম্বর দেখানো হয়; টাকা পাঠানো হয় আপনার বিকাশ অ্যাপে। অ্যাপ কোনো লেনদেন বা পেমেন্টের তথ্য সংগ্রহ করে না। টাকা পাঠালে বিকাশ প্রাপক হিসেবে আমাদের যা দেখায় (যেমন প্রেরকের নম্বর ও পরিমাণ), শুধু সেটুকুই আমরা দেখতে পাই।
চ্যাট অ্যাপ থেকেই মুছতে পারেন। মতামত বা অন্য কোনো তথ্য মুছতে চাইলে নিচের ইমেইলে লিখুন; চ্যাটের কোনো বার্তার কথা বললে আমরা সেটি খুঁজে মুছে দেব। অনুরোধ পাওয়ার ৩০ দিনের মধ্যে তথ্য মুছে জানানো হবে।
পাঠক-এ ক্লাসিকসহ নানা ধরনের সাহিত্য আছে, যার কিছু প্রাপ্তবয়স্কদের উপযোগী। অ্যাপটি ১৮ বছরের কম বয়সীদের জন্য নয়, এবং আমরা জেনেশুনে শিশুদের কাছ থেকে কোনো তথ্য সংগ্রহ করি না।
নীতি বদলালে নতুন সংস্করণ তারিখসহ এই পাতায় দেওয়া হবে।
